It's ironic (or is that moronic) that many people in Western society have no hands on training as a parent - until they have their first child.

Interestingly, if you wish to adopt a child, there is often a very long process of 'study' and 'screening' required to prove that you can be a parent before you are 'given' a child - parents who naturally conceive, have no such requirement.

This section of my site is all about relating some experiences that may help impending or new parents to cope better with the life changing situation that babies bring.
